The Temple the Branch Builds

The foundation of the temple of the LORD (Zech.6:12-13 below) was laid with the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone (Eph.2:20-22, Zech.8:9 below).

The temple referenced here is a temple built without hands, the living body of Christ (the church of God - 1 Cor.10:32). The church are a holy temple to the Lord, builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit (Eph.2:22 below).

Jesus Christ is the Branch (Zech.3:8, Zech.6:12, Jer.23:5-6, Eph.2:20 below).

Zech.6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH (Zech.3:8 below); and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD (Eph.2:20-22 below):

Zech.6:13 Even he shall build the temple of the LORD (Eph.2:20-22 above); and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

Eph.2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone (Jer.23:5-6 below);

Eph.2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord (Zech.6:12 above):

Eph.2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Zech.3:8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH (Zech.6:12 above).

Zech.8:9 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid (Eph.2:20 above), that the temple might be built (Eph.2:21-22 above).

Jer.23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch (Jer.23:6 below), and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

Jer.23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this [is] his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS (Eph.2:20-22 above).
