If a religious author writes and that writing/view cannot be supported by the Holy Word of God there is no light in the writing/view, and that writing/statement should be suspect because it cannot stand on God's Word (Isa.8:20 below).
Isa.8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to THIS word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them.
