There are seven years between the Sixth SEAL (Re.6:12-17) and the Seventh TRUMPET (1 Thess.4:16-17). During that seven years the two witnesses (the saints of the most High) will face the tribulation
During the first three and a half years of the seven years the two witnesses will have God-given power to prophesy (Re.11:3 below).
AFTER the two witnesses have FINISHED their testimony (after the first three and a half years) the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them for the duration of the last three and a half years (Re.11:7), culminating with the slaying of the two prophets at the last week prior to the Seventh Trumpet, the ascension.
Re.11:3 And I will give power (Dan.8:24, Dan.12:7) unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy (Re.10:11) a thousand two hundred and threescore days, CLOTHED IN SACKCLOTH.
Re.11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, THE BEAST THAT ASCENDETH OUT OF THE BOTTOMLESS PIT (Re.17:8) shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
