A misunderstanding of Daniel 9:27 (below) occurs when we look at that Scripture as referring to the false prophet.
A misunderstanding of that Scripture also occurs when we look at the time frame of that Scripture as years instead of days, as it is written.
Daniel
Messiah the Prince is the Prince of Princes/Jesus Christ (Dan.9:25).
Messiah is the false prophet (Dan.9:26).
He (Dan.9:27) refers to Messiah the Prince (Dan.9:25).
It is Messiah the Prince (Jesus) who confirms the covenant with many for ONE WEEK. This week occurs the last week prior to the Seventh Trumpet (1 Thess.4:16-17) The many (Dan.9:27 below) during that last week are the 144,000.
At the last week prior to the Seventh Trumpet (1 Thess.4:16-17) Messiah the Prince (Jesus) will cause the sacrifice and the oblation of the saints of the most High to cease (Matt.24:9, Dan.7:21, Dan.7:25, Dan.8:24, Re.12:17, Re.13:7, Re.13:15, Re.16:6, Re.17:6, Dan.12:6-7).
The slaying of the two prophets (Re.11:8-12) concludes the "tribulation", except for the 144,000 who will endure to be those who are alive and remain at the Seventh TRUMPET (1 Thess.4:17) .
For the overspreading of abominations that have occurred, Messiah the Prince (Jesus) shall make the earth desolate, even to the consummation and that determined, the seven last plagues (Re.16:1), will be poured upon the desolate (Gentiles - 1 Thess.4:5, Eph.2:12) remaining upon the earth after the ascension
Dan.9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven WEEKS, and threescore and two WEEKS: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
Dan.9:26 And after threescore and two WEEKS shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Dan.9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one WEEK: and IN THE MIDST OF THE WEEK he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Re.11:8 And their dead bodies (the two prophets - Re.11:10 below, Re.18:24, Re.16:6) shall lie in the street of the
Re.11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies (the two prophets) three DAYS and an half (Dan.9:27 above), and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
Re.11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
Re.11:11 And AFTER three days and an half (Dan.9:27 above) the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and THEY STOOD UPON THEIR FEET; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
Re.11:12 And they (the two prophets) heard a great voice from heaven (Heb.12:25 below) saying unto to them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
Heb.12:25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth (Jesus), much more shall not we escape, if we turn away FROM HIM (God the Father - Col.1:3) THAT SPEAKETH FROM HEAVEN:
