The Exodus

The Lord, the God of Israel, made a Covenant with the fathers of old in the day that God brought them forth out of the land of Egypt (Jer.34:13 below). Thy time was the time of love (Eze.16:8 below).

ALL the fathers of old were under the cloud, and ALL passed through the sea and ALL were baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea and ALL ate the same spiritual meat and ALL drank the same spiritual drink (1 Cor.10:1-4 below).

I believe that it was these spiritual acts and the passing through the sea at the Exodus that married Israel to their Maker (Isa.54:5, Jer.3:14, Eze.16:8 below).

I believe that God’s joy in His marriage to the children of Israel (Isa.54.5, Jer.3:14 below) was shattered at the giving of the Ten Commandments when Moses descended the mountain to find the children of Israel worshipping a golden calf.

I believe that when the second temple was destroyed Israel was “put away” and was given a bill of divorcement from God the Father (Isa.50:1, Jer.3:8-13, Jer.31:32 below).


Jer.34:13 Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel: I made a covenant (Eze.16:8 below) with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondmen, saying,

Eze.16:8 Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee (Jer.34:13 above, Jer.31:32 below), saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine (Isa.54:5 below).

1 Cor.10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that ALL our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea (Ex.14:22 below);

1 Cor.10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

1 Cor.10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

1 Cor.10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them (Ex.14:19 below): and that Rock was Christ.

Isa.54:5 For thy Maker is thine husband (Jer.3:14 below); the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

Jer.3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you (Isa.54:5 above): and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:


Divorcement

Isa.50:1 Thus saith the LORD, Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? (Jer.3:8 below) or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.

Jer.3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce (Isa.50:1 above); yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

Jer.3:9 And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks.

Jer.3:10 And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the LORD.

Jer.3:11 And the LORD said unto me, The backsliding Israel (Jer.3:12 below) hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah.

Jer.3:12 Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever (Isa.43:25 above).

Jer.3:13 Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God (Isa.54:5 above), and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice (Heb.12:25 below), saith the LORD.

Jer.31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake (Eze.16:8 above), although I WAS an husband unto them (Isa.54:5, Jer.3:14 above), saith the Lord:
