The Bottomless Pit

The Bottomless Pit (Re.9:1-2 below), Hell, the Lake of Fire (Re.19:20, Re.20:10, Re.20:14-15), Perdition are one in the same. Satan is the king/angel of the bottomless pit (Re.9:11).

The Bottomless Pit is a reality upon this earth in the spiritual realm. The spiritual opening of the bottomless pit is in the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is outside of Jerusalem on this earth, and the Dead Sea is outside “that great city, the holy Jerusalem” (Re.21:10) in the “new” earth as well (Re.22:15 below).


Re.22:15 For without (that great city, the holy Jerusalem, Re.21:10) are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie (Re.21:8 above, Isa.66:24, Re.14:9-11 above).


At the Fifth Trumpet, the First Woe, the Fifth Angel is GIVEN the key to OPEN the bottomless pit (Re.9:1-2 below).


Re. 9:1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit (Re.11:7, Re.17:8).

Re. 9:2 And he OPENED the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.


The four beasts and the little horn of Daniel chapter 7 ALL ascend out of the bottomless pit (Re.11:7, Re.17:8).

The fourth beast of Daniel chapter 7 is seen in the book of Revelation as the beast of Revelation 13:1. The little horn of Daniel chapter 7 is seen as the “another” beast of Revelation 13:11.

Directly AFTER the battle of Armageddon the beast of Revelation 13:1 and the false prophet, the “another” beast of Revelation 13:11 are BOTH cast into the pit, into a lake of fire (Re.19:20 below),


Re.19:20 And the beast (Re.13:1) was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him (Re.13:11-15), with which he deceived them that HAD received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his IMAGE (Re.14:9-11 below). These BOTH were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone (Re.20:10, Re.21:8).


At Revelation 20:1-3 (below), this Fifth Trumpet angel is AGAIN SEEN HAVING the key to the bottomless pit to cast and bind Satan in the bottomless pit where the beast (Re.13:1) and the false prophet (Re.13:11) ARE (Re.19:20 above, Re.20:10). Satan will be cast into the bottomless pit for the duration of the Millennium, a thousand years.


Re.20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit (Re.9:1) and a great chain in his hand.

Re.20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

Re.20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit (Re:9:1-2, Re.11:7, Re.17:8), and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, TILL THE THOUSAND YEARS SHOULD BE FULFILLED: and AFTER THAT he must be loosed a little season.


A little season (Re.20:3 above) is seven years, the same amount time the Fifth SEAL saints are told to wait (Re.6:11 below).


Re.6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them (all the souls under the altar); and it was said unto them, that THEY SHOULD REST YET FOR A LITTLE SEASON, until their fellowservants (prophets - Amos 3:7) ALSO and their brethren, that should be killed AS THEY WERE, should be fulfilled.


Anyone who follows the beasts of Revelation chapter 13 will take part in the second death (Re.14:9-11 below).


Re. 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark (Re.14:11 below) in his forehead, or in his hand,

Re.14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God (Re.15:1, Re.15:7, Re.16:1, Re.16:9), which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone (Re.19:20 above, Re.20:10 below) in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb (Isa.66:24 above):

Re.14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever (Re.20:10 above): and they have no rest day nor night, who WORSHIP the beast and his IMAGE, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name (Re.19:20 above).


In the "new” earth, outside "that great city, the holy Jerusalem" (Re.21:10), are those who have taken part in the second death (Re.21:8, Isa.66:24 below). In the "new” earth there is no more sea (Re.21:1), and those whose who have taken part in the second death their CARCASES can be looked upon (Isa.66:24, Re.14:10 below).


Re.20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire (Re.20:10, Re.21:8 below).

Re.21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone (Re.20:10, Isa.66:24, Mk. 9:43-44low): WHICH IS THE SECOND DEATH.

Isa.66:24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched (Mk.9:43-44 below); and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
