No new thing under the Sun

The LORD made ALL things; He stretched forth the heavens ALONE; He spread abroad the earth BY HIMSELF (Isa.44:24, Gen.2:3-5 below).

There is no new thing under the sun (Eccel.1:9 below); it has been already of old time been done, which was before us (Eccel.1:10 below).

NOTHING can be put to it, nor can anything be taken from it (Eccel.3:14 below); that which has been is now and that which is to be has already been (Eccel.3:15 below).


Isa.44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I [am] the LORD THAT MAKETH ALL [THINGS]; that stretcheth forth the heavens ALONE; that spreadeth abroad the earth BY MYSELF;


Eccel.1:9 The thing that hath been, it [is that] which shall be; and that which is done [is] that which shall be done: and [there is] no new [thing] under the sun.

Eccel.1:10 Is there [any] thing whereof it may be said, See, this [is] new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.


Eccel.3:14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth [it], that [men] should fear before him.

Eccel.3:15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.



Gen.2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made (Gen.2:4-5 below).

Gen.2:4 These [are] the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

Gen.2:5 And every plant of the field BEFORE it was in the earth, and every herb of the field BEFORE it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and [there was] not a man to till the ground.
