The 144,000 and the Times of the Gentiles

The 144,000 are sealed that they will not see death AFTER the Sixth SEAL appearance of the Lord with power and majesty (Acts 2:20-21, Lk.21:25-27, Matt.24:29-30, Isa.13:6-8, Isa.13:9-11 Joel 2:31-32, Jer.30:7, Re.6:12-17), PRIOR TO the opening of the Seventh, and final, SEAL (Re.8:1-6).

The Sixth SEAL should not to be confused with the Seventh TRUMPET (1 Thess.4:16); these are separate events. There are seven-years between the Sixth SEAL and the Seventh TRUMPET.

The 144,000 will be sealed in Jerusalem (Eze.9:4). The 144,000 are those who are alive and remain (1 Thess.4:17). We will know that the sealing of the 144,000 will be taking place when we witness that the winds of the earth will have ceased to blow during the duration of the sealing (Re.7:1-4).

The Sixth SEAL appearance of the Lord will usher in the time of Jacob's trouble (Jer.30:7), the time of tribulation under the beasts of Revelation 13:1 and 13:11.

Heaven and earth will witness the Sixth SEAL event.

Witnessing the Lord's appearance as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords (Re.6:16, Lk. 21:27, Isa.2:19), Israel will no longer be partially blinded (Rom11:25 below) to the truth that Jesus Christ is the Messiah. Accepting Christ Jesus as their Savior, Israel will BECOME a "new creature" (2 Cor.5:17, Eze.36:26), they will BECOME fellowheirs of the living body of Christ Jesus (Col.1:24). They will have BECOME the church of God (1 Cor.10:32).

From the Sixth SEAL forward the world will consist of the church of God and Gentiles (1 Cor.10:32, Eph.2:12, Luke 21:24).

The 144,000 are in Christ Jesus. Note that directly after the Seventh TRUMPET ascension the 144,000 are standing on the heavenly mount Sion (Re.14:1, Heb.12:22) with the Lamb (the Savior).

At the Sixth SEAL, the fullness of the Gentiles (Ro.11:25) will come in. The times (years) of the Gentiles will be fulfilled/completed (Lk.21:24 below) at the Seventh TRUMPET (1 Thess.4:16-17).


Rom.11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Luke 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
